Nunnery Lane, York – an interiors shoot

I was contacted by my client Julie, who owns a beautiful holiday house at Nunnery Lane, near the centre of York and the fashionable “Bishy Road”.   My brief was to provide her with a fresh set of images of the property to really show to potential visitors what the house is like.  Having viewed her existing images I was wowed when I walked through the door.  It looked so much better in real life, than in the images on her existing website – it just shows how important the images are in selling a place.

The house is beautifully styled with some gorgeous little details which made the photography so much more interesting.   Everything has been carefully thought through.  The kitchen is incredibly well equipped with everything you could possibly need should you decide to self cater.  However, as Julie is also an incredible chef, she offers her holiday makers a meal service.   This gave me the opportunity to  incorporate some of her delicious food in the images.  The menu is extensive and I have to say it all looked delicious.

We also took a stroll round the corner to the famous Bishy Road to soak up the atmosphere and provide the website with some images to show the setting of the house.  The road houses a host of beautiful artisan shops to mooch in, coffee shops to while away a few hours and some lovely food suppliers.

Having finished the images, it made sense to also restyle the website slightly, to fit in better with the light and airy feel of the images.  The brown / sepia theme of the old website was replaced with a fresher feel, more in keeping with the light and airy feel of the house.  Have a look at the finished website and see for yourself!!  xx
